Alcohol Consumption

Reducing the Negative Effects of Indulging

When I envisioned creating Foundational Health as a way to promote healthier lifestyles, I never pictured myself creating a guide for alcohol consumption. Alcohol is really the antithesis of “look better, heal better, feel better” in so many ways. However, I know many of us still choose to indulge from time to time, and I think it’s important to learn how to do so in the healthiest way possible.

I do this by no means to encourage the consumption of alcohol. Alcohol is a well-known carcinogen and promoter of inflammation and disease in the body. There are ways, though, to reduce these toxic effects and help your body heal from the occasional night of indulging in alcoholic beverages. This guide is designed to walk you through these strategies.

In this guide we’ll cover:

  1. Ways to reduce the toxic effects of alcohol on the body

  2. Tips for minimizing and eliminating the symptoms of hangovers

  3. Before, during, and after guides for a night of drinking

  4. Suggested supplements to help your body recover faster

  5. Dr. Kevin’s healthier alcoholic beverages of choice
