Every Health Journey Starts With Intention
Underlying every pillar of Foundational Health is the mindset and intention to achieve your health goals. Without this, habits die off and goals fall to the wayside as the busyness of life takes over. This is why we focus on building sustainable, foundational health practices that become a hobby in your daily life.
Key Foundational Health Intention Principles
Find Your “Big Why”. What’s your reason for becoming and staying healthy? This should be bigger than short term goals—motivation that sticks around and forms the backbone of who you are and what you want to accomplish. Use this “why” to fuel your pursuit of your goals.
Feed Your Mind. Your mindset is tied to the things you consume—podcasts, books, newsletters, social media, etc. Feed your mind with information and inspiration related to your goals, and you’ll find your mindset will quickly align with those goals.
Change Your Beliefs. Your beliefs change your mindset and your intention. If you believe getting healthy is expensive, boring, and difficult, then that is what you’ll find when you try to reach your health goals. Looking at health from a positive perspective will give you the mindset you need to reach your goals.
Give Yourself Reminders. Life can get busy, and your intention for health can easily fall to the wayside. Give yourself daily reminders of your health goals in whichever form fits you best—sticky notes, calendar reminders, phone reminders, phone backgrounds, journaling, etc.
